About Me
Hey there,
My name is Luis and I am a California wedding photographer based in Orange County. As someone who specializes in telling stories, let me share with you my own. My connection with a camera starts before I was born, with the passing of my grandparents.
I didn’t grow up with a big family. It was just my parents and sisters for the most part. Once I got older, I started to ask more about where I came from and my family. My parents told me stories about where they grew up and what it was like. They shared these stories along with photographs they brought with them from Mexico.
I was able to see my mother as a young girl and my father in high school. Then, they shared with me photos of my grandparents. From my fathers side, they had both passed away before I was able to meet them. What I have left of them are passed down stories and a collection of old photographs.
My work is a visual representation of my own understanding of love. It’s being part of a moment and telling that story. Once these moment have passed, all we will have left are stories and a collection of photographs.
What is Photography
Photography is much more than a just picture. It’s a warm hug, laughter, a smile, a feeling you never want to let go of. It is all of the small moments in between the big ones. A collection of memories that will stay with you forever.
“This review is lengthy, but I promise it’s worth it! Luis was our photographer for our wedding on October 13, 2023. I found him through the boutique where I found my dress & instantly fell in love with his work. I knew I needed him for my wedding and, because we had a small wedding, we hadn’t even planned on having a photographer. We clicked with Luis from the first phone call we had. He was so nice, calm, and just so positive. He was upfront about what he could do for us on our day and didn’t try to sell us something he couldn’t. He was so open to our ideas and even provided us with better ideas. Super last minute, like a few weeks before our big day, we decided to do a private look between us and our daughter, and Luis didn’t hesitate to make it happen. He knew the perfect location for us to have that special moment, and it was literally walking distance from the courthouse we were getting married at. Luis provided us with sneak peeks we didn’t even expect while we were on our little honeymoon, and he didn’t make us wait long for the rest of them. Our family and friends couldn’t stop complementing us on his work ethic and his work. Luis captures the best moments and I love that he captured the little details I didn’t know I’d love looking back on so much. I don’t say this lightly, but having Luis as our photographer was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. I do my best to try and get to know everyone at a personal level. I make an active effort to listen and be in the moment they are in. I present myself as who I am and try to be transparent.
