Getting Ready Engagement
You just booked your engagement session and you are asking yourself, what now? Don’t worry, I’m here to help. Below are tips to help you make your engagement session personal and fun.
Your Outfits
There is no cookie cutter formula to recommend how you should be dressed. It is all personal taste. To help you choose your outfits, here are some things to consider:
Compliment your location. Think about the scene you chose and consider complimenting it with your outfit colors and style.
Consider not matching with your background. If you are in the sand dunes and you are surrounded by light browns and tan colors, consider not wearing those colors so you don’t disappear with the background. Instead consider wearing colors that are complimenting and make you stand out.
Consider bringing an extra pair of shoes. This one goes out to the ones that like to wear heels. They are beautiful to wear in your photo session, but consider brining slip-ons while we walk around our location.
Consider bringing an extra change of clothes. If you are considering a beach setting and want to go in the water, consider bringing a towel and/or an extra change of clothes.
Ladies and gents, do not forget we will be taking a lot of ring shots so this would be a perfect opportunity to get your nails done.
Props & Sentimental Items
This photo session is your love story. To tell your love story you might need to bring some sentimental items that speak to you both. Or maybe you just want to bring some cool smoke bombs. Regardless of which you choose, it is your love story. Some things to consider:
Engagement ring
Roses/ flowers
Smoke bombs
Bubbles
Chalk board for save the date
Champagne
Being a Model is Not Required
You are not expected to know a hundred different poses and to be America's Next Top Model. I got you both when it comes to poses. What you can do instead is maybe look around and see what poses catch both of your attention. Make a small collection on your phone and have it ready to show me the day of.
Your Love Story
As mentioned before, this is your love story. I keep repeating this because I want your session to feel like you. No matter where we go, we will always get amazing shots. Just make sure you bring the energy, the love and I will take care of the rest.
